BowlsBishop's Stortford Bowling Club, which was founded in 1903, is one of the three oldest flat green bowling clubs in Hertfordshire. Based in Bowling Lane off Beldams Lane, Bishop's Stortford, Herts, they are always pleased to hear from potential new members, male or female, of any age or ability.

The Club’s new location now offers two six rink greens, one being a synthetic playing surface and the other a grass playing surface. Other facilities also include a large well appointed pavilion, spacious men's and ladies' changing rooms, a fully carpeted pavilion with licensed bar, television, darts and short mat bowls, plus a large fully equipped kitchen. There are also assisted facilities on site too along with ample parking available for cars and coaches.

There is a comprehensive program of fixtures, for both men and ladies, which includes friendly matches, senior citizen leagues, local cup tournaments, club competitions and the Men's County League. In addition, members may participate in the County Tournaments, with the champions and runners-up going on to represent Hertfordshire in the Bowls England National Championships. The playing season runs from May through to September.

Bishop’s Stortford Bowling Club also has several social activities throughout the year including many indoor friendly matches, Sunday lunches, coffee mornings, race nights, quiz nights and a dinner and dance trophy presentation evening.
